I think this text offers an interesting model,
but does not necessarily leave room for fluidity between the categories.

I think that many students fall between the lines,
especially since there is so much they do
that they don’t acknowledge as Jewish but in fact is.

Ilan Schwartz shared with us two different models of fluency

–cultural fluency and ritual fluency.
