Getzel is the Associate Rabbi and Jewish Educator at Harvard University Hillel for the past 2.5 years. He was a Jewish Environmental Educator for 7 years from 2008 to 2014. He volunteered for AJWS for months. He was also a rabbinic intern in multiple congregations, and a spiritual leader for Occupy Judaism. Getzel graduated from Hebrew College in 2013 with a Masters in Jewish education. He also graduated from Brandeis in 2007 with a BA in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies.
