Anna is the Rabbi and Director of Jewish Student Life University of Chicago Hillel for the past 5 years. Anna attended the University of Virginia, and graduated with majors in Religious Studies and Anthropology and a minor in Jewish Studies. Inspired to address issues of social justice, Anna participated in community organizing training in Boston for a year after college. She then moved to Israel for a peace and social justice fellowship where she studied interfaith dialogue. Rabbinical school provided her a chance to dive head-first into Jewish learning and the opportunity to study education. She was ordained from Hebrew Union College in 2009 and has served as a campus rabbi at schools across Chicago.
